Christmas 2012 Recap
26 Dec
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!
I actually didn’t take too many pictures, but I’ll share what I’ve got!
Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, I went to the 4:00PM mass offered at my church. It’s usually super crowded, and this year was no different. When the service ended – around 5:00PM – it was snowing outside. Luckily, I only had a short drive to my aunt’s house so it was no big deal.
We had a relaxed and casual dinner at my aunt’s house. I had a meatball sandwich with mozzarella and salad, but of course, didn’t take any photos. Chris and I stayed for a little while after dinner, but the roads started to look pretty bad and decided to head over to his parents’ house, which was our second stop of the night.
After a very slow drive, we made it safe and sound. We had dinner #2 (steak + lots of sides) and exchanged a few presents.
Christmas Day
Chris and I were up around 7:30AM and headed downstairs to exchange gifts. Chris got me lots of good stuff – including a Camelbak water bottle and a giant mug – but the best gift of all was a custom iPhone cover with Stewie’s picture on it!
After getting ready for the day, we headed over to my parents’ house for breakfast and gifts.
I got everything on my list, and was probably most excited about my Garmin Forerunner 10! I can’t wait to put this to use during my last two months of half marathon training.
After a few hours at my parents’ house, we headed back to Chris’s family for more gifts and ham sandwiches.
I eventually made it home around 8:00PM, and after a bit of cleaning up, I headed to bed; it was a tiring day!
**********
I woke up this morning with a bit of a headache; I guess pounding tons of sugar in the form of Christmas cookies will do that! I ate a small bowl of cereal and had a mug of coffee before heading to spin class.
Afterwards, I had an errand to take care of for the house – we’re supposed to be closing on Friday – and stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts for breakfast #2 (my stomach was grumbling!).
Now, I’m ready to tackle my to-do list for the day. First up is organizing/putting away all of our Christmas gifts!
What was your favorite Christmas gift this year?

Looks like you had a fabulous Christmas! I received some awesome g/c’s but my fav gift was some new knifes to start building a decent selection for cooking

Oooh, that’s a great gift! Luckily we have a nice set that we got for our wedding. Come to think of it, they could use some sharpening!
Yayyy for the garmin! So exciting!

What a nice Christmas! I was sooo tired after yesterday, too. I can honestly say this is my first year where Christmas Eve + Day knocked me out!

Sounds like you had an awesome Christmas! Those are some good gifts! I love water bottles, and I’m always looking for the “perfect” one — I think I’m going to look into one of those Camelbacks. I’ve heard so many good things about them. My favorite gift this year was a Keuring brewer!! I can’t wait to start using it
I also got this spice rack that I’m in love with, too.
I LOVE the Camelbak! It actually makes me want to drink water! lol
Glad you had a wonderful Christmas!
You are going to love that Garmin and you have to show a picture of your cell phone cover – sounds super cute. My fav present was a wind blocking running jacket. It is always crazy windy here in Mankato, so that will be super nice!
A wind blocking jacket sounds amazing; it has been SO cold where I live lately!
Happy Belated Christmas!
I would have to say that my favorite gift was the new Schwinn bicycle from my parents or the study Bible they got me! That Garmin Forerunner is AWESOME! I think I may ask for one for my birthday (even though it’s not until July!) It looks really helpful and convenient for training. I hope you have an awesome New Years Day/Eve!
I can’t wait to test it out, I’m just waiting for not-so-windy/bitter cold weather! I like the Forerunner 10 because it’s not as bulky as the other models. I guess it does less, but I really just want it to track my mileage!
Yay! We both got the same forerunner for Christmas =)

Awesome! I can’t wait to use it. I’m thinking New Year’s Day might be my next outdoor run!
OMG Stewie looks too cute with his toy! My favorite gift was a hot pink lace dress from my mom that I picked out
