DIY – Toilet Paper Roll Cover

17 Jul

Evening, friends!

Ever since Chris & I moved into our house, I’ve been looking for easy DIY projects (easy being the operative word).

While I do enjoy crafting, I wouldn’t say that it’s necessarily my forte. I’m a perfectionist, so if a DIY project isn’t relatively easy & I can’t do it “right,” then I get super-frustrated & usually give up.

I can’t take credit for the project I tried today; I saw it somewhere else, I just can’t remember where. (I thought for sure I had it pinned, but I don’t!)

This is very basic, very simple, & very inexpensive – you might even have everything you need on hand!

Here – in step-by-step pictures – is how you can make a decorative toilet paper roll cover. :-)

Voila!

There you have it!

As I’m sure you can deduce on your own, the possibilities with this project are endless. You can coordinate a container to match any room or color scheme, or even make ones for holidays to be festive throughout the year!

Starting out simple was a good idea; now, I’m ready to tackle some more involved DIY projects!

Do you consider yourself to be crafty? Are you a DIY-er? Feel free to share links to any DIY projects you’ve completed!

cute idea! i go in phases with DIY projects, but generally speaking, i’m not one to LOOK for more projects. if something needs to be done, or i see an idea i can’t live without, i’ll go for it, but otherwise i’m okay without it.

I would love to say that I’m crafty but the truth is I’m definitely not!! I am also a perfectionist and that always gets the better of me. An example – when doing crafts as a kid I would always make mine look exactly like the one on the package because I’m the type of person that likes an exact template to follow.

CUTE IDEA!!!! Only problem for me is…my dog and cat will totally find that and rip the paper to little shreds.

Bummer! Maybe you could put it ON TOP of the toilet instead of on the floor? :-)

LOVE the idea! People who come up with DIY projects are so creative. Who would of thought that a roll of toilet paper would fit so perfectly into a oatmeal container? haha

I love this idea! I don’t have a TP holder in my bathroom, so I am totally doing this :) I’m somewhat crafty, my cutest things I made were my button monogram wall hangers.

That is pretty cool! I must admit, it’s a much nicer t.p. holder than the ones my grandparents used to have. Those things were crocheted and I apparently thought they made nice hats. OK, that’s embarrassing. But I love your project. :)
