Product Review: resource Natural Spring Water (+Giveaway!)

9 Jul

Happy Monday everyone! I’ve got a product review & fun giveaway to kick off the week.

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by resource Natural Spring Water & was provided with a few samples of this bottled water to try & review.

I’ve mentioned quite a few times in the past that I really have to make a conscious effort to drink lots of water. My job as a teacher makes it difficult to drink tons of water throughout the day, & now that it’s summer, I’ve found that I’m just not in the habit of drinking as much water as I should be (I’m trying to change that!).

What makes resource Natural Spring Water different from other bottled waters is its inclusion of electrolytes.

According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, electrolytes “affect the amount of water in your body, the acidity of your blood, & your muscle function.” Electrolytes are lost while sweating, & need to be replaced by drinking fluid.

The motto of resource Natural Spring Water is “it’s more than hydration, it’s total Electrolytenment.” It is 100% natural spring water that adds natural electrolytes for taste. resource is also nature-minded, & each bottle is made up of 50% recycled materials.

I tried my sample waters during the big move last week. Temperatures were in the 90s & the humidity was high, so I knew that I would really be putting this water to the test.

First, I want to discuss the taste. For some reason, I was expecting it to taste different from other bottled spring waters – perhaps a little metallic? – but I was pleasantly surprised to find it very crisp. There was absolutely no weird after-taste; it was very “clean”-tasting & refreshing.

I also knew that this water did its job in keeping me fully hydrated, as I didn’t get my usual “dehydrated & fatigued” headache, like I normally would if I were doing strenuous activity in the heat. I was so thankful that I had these samples of resource for the move!

Be sure to visit & “like” resource Natural Spring Water on Facebook!

Now, a little gift for one of you! resource Natural Spring Water has offered to give one reader a $25 Spa Week gift card! (You can check participating spa locations on the Spa Week website.)

This water looks great! I prefer my water bottled but with no carbonation. I just can’t get myself to drink tap water but seem to drink more when I’m carrying around a bottle! Plus, it keeps my cats from taking a sip from my cup! :)

I think our tap water tastes pretty good. But lately I’ve been using the Soda Steam to make flavored sparkling water, it tastes just like la croix!

I like tap water for the minerals, but I also like to add natural flavor to it with slices of cucumber, oranges, limes or mint.

I try to be “earth-friendly” and drink tap water from my Brita Filter. I drink enough water that I enjoy drinking it plain but two of my favorite ways are adding fresh mint leaves (yum!!! so refreshing) or to throw half of a lemon or half of a lime right into my nalgene bottle! Even if you fill it up later on in the day, that lemon/lime still provides a lot of flavors and as an added bonus, lemon is great for detox.
