My Fitness Bucket List

You may remember that a few months ago I became a FitFluential Ambassador. If you’re unsure of what FitFluential is, here is the description from the network’s website:

“FitFluential is a nationwide network of highly influential fitness enthusiasts sharing their journey both online and offline through multiple social media platforms. Founded in April of 2011 by Kelly Olexa, FitFluential was designed to connect health and wellness brands with their ideal target market through customized, long-term experiential and contextual marketing campaigns.”

You don’t have to be a blogger to be a part of FitFluential; anyone can join & I’d highly recommend it!

A few weeks ago, Ambassadors were asked to work on a “fitness bucket list” – a list of fitness/health-related goals. Since I love Pinterest, I was excited to get my board going!

You can check out my full board (I’m still working on adding more items to my list!) but I wanted to share with you all my top 3 fitness-related goals!

#1) Spend time working with the Philadelphia Phillies in any capacity.

Although I’ve never played baseball/softball, over the past few years I have really developed a love of the game. I’d love to visit Citizens Bank Park, perhaps getting the inside scoop on the Phillies training/nutrition programs!?

#2) Write for a health/fitness publication.

In last night’s post, I mentioned that my original plan when entering college was to become a writer. Even though things didn’t quite turn out that way, I’d love the chance to work with some of my favorite health & fitness magazines/websites & write a few freelance articles!

#3) Run the Disney Princess Half Marathon.

This event rolls around every February. Although I’m only able to run about two miles at this point, I’d love to work my way up to 13.1 & complete this race which leads participants through both Epcot & the Magic Kingdom parks. I’ve read quite a few race re-caps on this event before, & it seems like so much fun. Can I be ready for February 2013? ;-)

    Running in the Disney 1/2 would be AMAZING! …I think that may be one of the only things that could motivate me to run that far- a nice trip/vacation. Great bucket list for fitness!

    Although I think it would an awesome experience, I am not too happy with your choice of MLB team ;) The other side of the state is so much better! hehe Just kidding! Love your goals!! With the way you’ve started being motivated with running, I think that half marathon is totally doable for you!

    i too am considering doing the disney’s princess half marathon in february. it’s a bit intimidating since i am only running 3miles right now, but it’s 8 months away. that’s 8 months worth of training!

      That’s what I figure! I REALLY want to do it. Plus, it would give me an excuse to go to Disney World for a weekend!:-)

    Great list! I have the Princess Run on my Fitness Bucket list too! I also want to run a full marathon at some point. I am up to three miles but I’m not sure how I’ll ever pull of 26. Ah!
