Father’s Day Gift Ideas
14 Jun
Happy Thursday friends! Thursdays are usually one of my nights off from blogging, since I usually go to a later-than-normal BodyPump class. However, since I’m able to enjoy the luxury (?) of 6:00AM Pump during the summer, here I am! So lucky for all of you…
Anyway… I hope most of you are already aware that Father’s Day is right around the corner! I actually impressed myself this year & got gifts for both my dad & father-in-law way ahead of schedule. Chris & I have a tendency to wait until the last minute to purchase gifts, so the fact that everything was bought a while ago is a small miracle.
For those of you that still may be on the hunt, I thought I would compile a quick gift guide since I find that men are usually the hardest to shop for. I hope this proves to be helpful if you’re still in the market for a Father’s Day gift!
For the Foodie…
A gift card to Omaha Steaks is a great option for a dad that likes his food. While I can’t personally attest to the quality of the product, I have heard good things from others, so I still feel confident recommending this as a gift! On their website, you can choose gifts for any price range – from less than $50 to $100+.
For the Golfer…
Visit The Golf Wish, where you can purchase a gift card redeemable at participating courses throughout the country. There is a “Where to Use” search box on the main webpage, so you can be sure that your dad has somewhere close by to use the card! Oh, & it’s redeemable for all types of things – green fees, products, services, etc.
For the Outdoorsy Type…
I’d highly recommend Cabela’s for any dad who is into hunting, fishing, camping, etc. If you’re unfamiliar with Cabela’s, it’s basically a mecca for anything related to the outdoors. While there are only select locations throughout the country, gift cards can be purchased & redeemed online.
Other Ideas…
One of my favorite Father’s Day gifts that I gave to my dad was a drawing. (Not done by me, thankfully!) When I was in high school, I asked a friend who was good at art to draw a picture of my dad & I using a photograph I gave her. It was taken when I was 4 or 5, & we were dancing together. The drawing turned out great, & since it was a friend doing the drawing, it was quite economical. We ended up getting the drawing framed with the picture & it still hangs on my parents’ wall to this day!
Another thing I can’t recommend enough is Groupon. There are always tons of unique deals available – from cologne to restaurant certificates to watches and so on.
What are you getting your dad for Father’s Day this year? I wish I could share what I got my dad (it’s good!) but he reads the blog so I can’t!

I’m buying my dad a HUGE supply of Life Savers- it’s a inside joke that he will LOVE! ….He has all he needs from Cabela’s— or at least the women in his life think so!

Isn’t it crazy how one of the best things about summer is the morning workouts?! -we are crazy! HA!

I think I’m getting my dad a gift certificate to an all-you-can eat restaurant. He’s a long distance runner… haha.

My dad would love that too & he’s NOT a long distance runner!
Those are great ideas. My dad would LOVE the Omahah steak one! He is a big griller.
