First Trip to Qdoba

10 Mar

Happy Saturday everyone!

Yesterday, I came home from work & totally vegged out for the entire night. I started the evening off by catching up on a few shows I had DVRed, then enjoyed a few slices of pizza (extra cheese!) & just relaxed in bed for the remainder of the evening. This isn’t something I do all that often & it felt good.

**********

First thing this morning, I headed off to BodyPump, & afterwards I was eager to get home to make some breakfast.

1 egg + 2 egg whites, scrambled with shredded cheddar cheese served with toast & a mug of coffee.

This afternoon, I had a hair/nail appointment at noon, & when I arrived home, Chris & I decided to take a trip to HomeGoods.

I ended up purchasing a loaf pan ($6.99!) so that I can make Jana’s turkey meatloaf tomorrow.

After HomeGoods, we decided to stop at Qdoba for a late-lunch/early-dinner. Neither of us had ever been before, but Chris told me he heard it was similar to Chipotle, which I love.

Qdoba had a menu that was similar to Chipotle, only they had even more options & offered whole wheat tortillas, which, to my knowledge, Chipotle doesn’t have.

After much deliberation, I ended up going with the pulled pork quesadilla.

It was delicious & filing. I was able to pack up one triangle that I couldn’t finish, which I will definitely be enjoying at some point tomorrow.

Since we just so happened to be by my favorite frozen yogurt spot, Kiwi, we stopped in for dessert.

The malted milk egg flavor was a new addition for Easter & it was awesome! I’ll have to make a trip back soon before the flavor is gone.

Chris & I just finished up our grocery shopping for the week, & are ready for some relaxation. Not the coolest Saturday night, but we like beating the Sunday shopping crowds.

Catch ‘ya all tomorrow. :-)

What’s your favorite Easter candy? I love Peeps (even though they are 100% sugar)!

I visited Qdoba for the first time when they first opened (many years ago), and I thought that they were overpriced for the amount of food they gave me. By the looks of your visit, my opinion is probably now outdated haha. Looks like I’ll have an excuse to visit!

I said the SAME THING to my husband! It came to like $18 for both of our meals, which I thought was a lot! It was good & yes, I did have leftovers, but definitely higher priced than my beloved Chipotle!

Oooo, frozen yogurt and I shall meet in about 10 days! I haven’t had any since January- needless to say, I’m dying here!!! That just looks delicious!
Your Saturday sounds awesome- you got a lot done and your hair and nails are good to go for a while. That always feels nice.

Oh. I so <3 Qdoba!!! The guac is awesome. I always get the naked taco salad, but that quesadilla looks awesome. I noticed they were advertising the wheat tortillas!! The one near us has a Coke Freestyle machine which totally wins my heart!

Is that the machine where you can mix different soda flavors?! I’ve been dying to try one of those out!! Sadly, I gave up soda for Lent & I didn’t spot on of those at this Qdoba.
