Two-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

1 Mar

Happy 1st day of March everyone! Is anyone else having a hard time believe it’s already March?!

After re-capping my February goals, I definitely want to be sure to set goals for this month, which I’ll do in the next few days!

**********

I had been craving stuffed peppers lately, & like that they’re able to be made in the crockpot. However, I always get annoyed when crockpot recipes require cooking before putting the ingredients in the slow cooker. It seems sort of counter-productive & against the whole purpose of the crockpot, right?

Well, once I saw this recipe on Courtney’s blog, I knew I’d have to give it a try since the ground turkey requires no browning on the stovetop!

They turned out perfectly!

What Courtney said on her blog is accurate; the texture is meatloaf-like, which is different than a traditional stuffed pepper. However, it was a delicious stuffed pepper nonetheless!

For my one sweet of the day, Chris made a super-easy dessert… Two-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse.

I don’t know if this even counts as a recipe – it’s that simple – but it does require a certain kitchen tool that many people own…

The Magic Bullet!

All you have to do is combine 1 pint of heaving whipping cream + Hershey’s chocolate syrup. (Chris told me he didn’t measure the syrup out, just eyeballed it.) Then, using the whipping blade that comes with the Magic Bullet, whip away until it’s reached a mousse-like consistency.

I topped mine with some mini chocolate chips & it was the perfect after-dinner sweet treat!

Alright, time to pack it in & get ready for Friday! It’s been a long week & I’m ready for the weekend!

What’s your simplest dessert?

I’ve never tried making mousse with chocolate syrup, but it seems like it would come out much lighter. I have just melted the chocolate chips and folded it into beaten heavy cream. That’s fast and easy, too. Will have to try. Thanks!
