CS by City Sports

Have you all ever heard of City Sports before? When they reached out to me, offering me a new workout outfit in exchange for a review, I of course jumped at the opportunity for several reasons: 1) I go to the gym 5 times per week, so I always need new workout clothes, and 2) I love trying new brands/services!

Before I get to the review, here’s a little about City Sports…

The company originated in Boston and now operates in 23 different cities on the East Coast, in addition to having an online shop.

They offer athletic clothing for men, women, and children and carry leading brands in addition to having their own line, “CS by City Sports”. Adidas, Brooks, Garmin, Oiselle, Polar, and Under Armour are a few of many brands they carry—definitely a one stop shop!

I was sent items from the CS by City Sports line—the Paramount Capri ($50) and the Lightest Run Tank ($26).

First, the capris…

Well, I love them. The first thing I noticed was the quality of the material. These are probably the thickest pair of workout capris I own. There are no “see-thru” issues, and I know I’ll be able to wash and wear these often without seeing the fabric pill or lose any stretch.

I was also so happy to see a drawstring!!! (<— yes, three exclamation marks were necessary) Why don’t most exercise capris have drawstrings?! I understand that most workout pants are meant to have enough spandex to stay put, but I still struggle with them slipping out of place sometimes (so annoying). Although these pants could definitely stay up, I love the extra “security” of the drawstring.

Lastly, I loved the detailing on these pants. The interior pocket, exterior zipper, and purple mesh all help to make the capris functional and fashionable.

Now, on to the tank…

This will be perfect for any outdoor running in the upcoming summer months. I don’t know that I’ve ever owned a tank so light and breathable. It also has a convenient zipper pocket on the back, perfect for stashing some fuel for a long run (wait, what’s a long run? 😉 ) or holding a house key.

Even Chris got in on sampling some CS by City Sports goods!

He was sent the Trail Run Short ($38) and the Ultralight Sleeveless Tank ($20). He echoed my sentiments that the clothing managed to be high-quality and durable, while still be super lightweight. We really are so happy that we found this line right before the hottest months of the year!

Thanks to City Sports for giving Chris and I the opportunity to try out your line of workout clothes!

Have you ever shopped at City Sports?

Who else wants their workout pants to come with a drawstring? I mean really, is it too much to ask?

Disclaimer: While City Sports provided me with the items above at no charge, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
