Something about Sunday afternoon/evening makes me long for 4:30PM Friday. I love that feeling of having the entire weekend ahead of myself. I do not love the feeling of having an entire work week ahead. Such is life, I suppose.
I didn’t take too many pictures this weekend. And if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen most of them already.
On Friday, Chris and I made impromptu reservations at Seasons 52. We enjoy going out to dinner on Fridays, and we just so happened to have a few gift cards saved up.
I started with a glass of white wine, and Chris and I split the lobster flatbread.
I can’t remember what all was on this flatbread, but it certainly was tasty!
I went with my favorite entree, the seared scallops.
I’ve had this meal several times, and it never disappoints. Why mess with a good thing?
Of course, no trip to Seasons 52 is completed without a mini indulgence.
The picture didn’t turn out so well, but trust me when I say this pecan pie dessert was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
Saturday was filled with a (much-needed) hair appointment, doing our taxes, and church. Chris and I had pizza for dinner (of course!), and the rest of the night was relaxed—just how we like it around here.
Today we were up pretty early, and decided to go out for breakfast before getting our grocery shopping for the week done. We went to one of our favorite spots, and I got my “usual”—chocolate chip pancakes + bacon.
After we got home from the store, I got to work on some things around the house. Chris offered to make me a smoothie, so of course I took him up on that!
The rest of the day has been pretty low-key. I had a few random things to work on, and I also booked a flight to Florida in April to visit Chris while he is away for work. Now I’ll be counting down the days until I’m in the warm weather; although, hopefully it is warm in PA by then, too!
And just because he’s so cute, here’s a photo of Stewie enjoying the new furniture:
What did you do this weekend? Was it relaxed or go-go-go?
Have you ever been to Seasons 52? Do you have a favorite dish or mini indulgence?
