I wanted to write a post tonight, but I’ve got no real direction and no “real” pictures to share with you all, so just bear with me and my rambles, okay?
Reese’s bells are my arch nemesis.
Why are these things so good? Seriously, I cannot stop eating them. Don’t even get me started on the Reese’s trees…
I think I’m figuring out just what kind of evil monster Mother Nature is going to be this winter.
We’ve already had more snow this year than we did the entire winter season last year… yeah, it’s not looking good folks. I think I regret my decision to leave teaching more and more with every two hour delay… kidding, kind of.
I still have Christmas shopping to finish.
Christmas Eve is exactly one week away. Speaking of things I miss about teaching, how about I throw in a whine about not having time off around the holidays?! I get Christmas Eve in addition to Christmas Day, so I guess I can’t complain too much. Anyway, I’m planning on finishing up some shopping Friday; I think I’ve convinced myself I have less to finish than I actually do… yikes.
I ate a chocolate chip bagel and red velvet crinkle cookie for breakfast this morning.
I should earn some sort of gold star for nutritional excellence.
I have lots on my plate this weekend.
Friday afternoon/evening will be dedicated to shopping. Saturday morning, I’m hoping to make it to spin class. Saturday afternoon I need to bake cookies for my family’s cookie exchange and I was hoping Chris and I could make a trip to BJ’s. Then, we have dinner reservations at a new-to-us restaurant, Lotus. Finally, Sunday is my family’s Christmas Eve celebration. We’re doing it a little early this year!
One more thing before you go this evening… I want to direct your attention to a wonderful blog written by a former student of mine, I’m An Aries, But I Have Cancer. Julie is a senior at Cornell… yes, Cornell. So that means that she is, always has been and always will be much smarter than me. She was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and has been documenting her journey on her blog. Her blog is compelling, funny, and so well-written, so I highly encourage you to take a few minutes and check it out.
Side note: When did my former students turn 22 and start being seniors in college? Yikes.
Give me one random tangent from your life as of late!
