Well, I certainly didn’t mean to up and disappear after Wednesday, but I ended up staying late at work on Thursday, so I never got around to posting.
I guess that means our first order of business is to announce a winner from the FRS giveaway.
Congrats to #13, Erika!
Please e-mail me (email@example.com) with your mailing address, and I’ll pass the information on to the folks at FRS.
Now, here’s a look at my weekend (in pictures):
Friday night, I met up with friends for dinner at The Knight’s Pub. Dinner was good, but dessert—vanilla crème brulee—stole the show (as is usually the case with me)!
On Saturday morning, I woke up with a pounding sinus headache. I still really wanted to make it to spin, so I popped some headache meds and downed a Designer Whey peanut butter protein bar (love these!).
The first few minutes were kind of rough—it felt like my brain was shaking around every time I stood on the bike!—but I felt better afterwards, so I was glad I went!
Plus, after not having been at the gym for a few days, it felt good to sweat.
On the way home from the gym, I stopped at Starbucks for breakfast. I nearly shed a tear when the barista told me they were out of pumpkin spice—I had to settle for my year-round go-to, a skinny vanilla latte.
I loaded up my oatmeal, of course!
After breakfast, it was time to do my weekly clean up, and the pug supervised—he’s good at that.
I always like to burn a new tart after the house is freshly cleaned, and this Autumn Leaves scent is a winner!
This morning it was back to the gym for some BodyPump.
And now, for the most exciting part of my weekend… I cleaned up my giant pile of crap! If you have no idea what I’m talking about (and to see a before picture of the mess), click here. It actually wasn’t just the top of my desk that needed some attention, but also a big drawer that was filled with tons of random papers. I definitely put my new shredder to good use. It feels good to start crossing things off of my perpetual to do list!
And as for right now, I’ve got dinner in the crockpot that is calling my name… see ya tomorrow!
Do you have a favorite fall Yankee Candle scent?
