WIAW – Sensible Snacking

Hello there!

I had all intentions of getting a post up last night, and then… it just didn’t happen. Oh well; I’m sure everyone carried on with their lives just fine! 😉

I forgot to thank everyone in Monday’s post for the kind words about our landscaping. I was sure to relay the messages to Chris!

I totally dropped the ball and didn’t manage to photograph a full day of eats for a traditional What I Ate Wednesday post. Instead—and in fitting with this month’s theme—I thought I’d share a few of my favorite sensible snacks.


AM: post-breakfast/pre-lunch

Fresh fruit (usually a banana for me, since it’s easily portable)


Greek yogurt


PM: post-lunch/pre-dinner

Triscuits + Laughing Cow cheese


Protein shake

Snack bar (I love Larabars—especially the chocolate chip cookie dough!)


There’s only one evening snack/dessert for me these days…

I love to have one of these when I come in from taking Stewie for his evening walk.

I know some people aren’t “snackers,” but I usually have two throughout the day. Whatever I eat for breakfast usually keeps me full until lunch, but I do like to have a little something in the afternoon and after dinner, too.

Snacking – yay or nay? When are you most likely to snack? What are some of your go-to snacks?

    I am a TOTAL snacker. If I could, I would just eat snacks and no meals all day because snack foods are definitely better 😉 I love the coconut water and banana pops at Target! They’re really good! I think they’re made my Outshine? Maybe?
