Product Review: Donut Shop Sweet & Creamy Brew over Ice K-Cups

It’s officially iced coffee season.

Iced coffee is something Chris and I can both get on-board with (he’s not a fan of the hot stuff), and if I’m being honest, we frequent Dunkin’ Donuts a bit too often during the summer months. (Well, if I’m being totally honest, we frequent it a bit too much year-round.)

A few weekends ago, I spotted something out of the corner of my eye on a shelf at Target (where else?). It was these Donut Shop Sweet & Creamy Brew over Ice K-Cups.

I was immediately intrigued, because the idea behind these particular Brew over Ice K-Cups is that no extra milk or sugar is needed. As someone who always adds both to her morning coffee, I was ready to put this claim to the test.

I’ve mentioned my “frustrations” with Brew over Ice K-Cups in the past, but I’ve finally succumbed to the fact that they need to be brewed/chilled ahead of time. Seriously—don’t bother trying to actually “brew over ice,” or you’ll end up with lukewarm coffee and zero ice cubes. Brew –> chill –> add ice is the way to go, friends!

I followed my tried-and-true method, and soon enough I was ready to see if these “Sweet & Creamy” K-Cups would live up to my expectations.

The verdict? Iced coffee success! Definitely perfect in a pinch when a trip to Dunkin’ Donuts isn’t going to happen (like on busy weekdays or jam-packed weekends). Chris was an even bigger fan than I was and he’s practically an iced coffee connoisseur.

Will I buy these again? Definitely! Like I said, it’s a product I want to keep on-hand “just in case” an iced coffee craving hits. Plus, it’s super-convenient not to have to add in any sugar/creamer. It was perfectly sweet brewed right from the K-Cup! (I also want to try the hazelnut flavor, too!)

    That’s awesome that nothing is needed in addition to the cup! I have some french vanilla ones that claim to be iced coffee but they don’t have anything but coffee, so I don’t really know the difference between just brewing regular coffee and adding in what I normally would after cooling it. I will definitely have to find these!

      The “brew over ice” K-Cups are usually stronger, I think? That way they don’t become watered down when the ice melts!

    I am a huge fan of K cups because I don’t always have time to go to a Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks! It’s perfect for on the go. I have never tried these K cups but it sounds perfect because it doesn’t need anything added- what a great idea! My favorite flavors are hazelnut and caramel! Thanks for introducing me to this!

    I typically just drink my coffee black but this post made a great case for these K Cups :) I really want to try them now. I think I will buy a box and take them over to my parents house (they have a Keurig)
