Easter Break

Hey everyone! Yikes, I really disappeared this week, didn’t I? I was talking to Chris this morning and told him I hadn’t blogged since Monday and he gasped! :-)

Anyway, here’s what I’ve been up to…

Tuesday evening I had dinner with my friend Laura. We went to a place called The Knight’s Pub, and although I really wanted the lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, I went with the bacon cheddar burger. I just couldn’t justify the $20 price on the mac ‘n’ cheese, but I’m sure it would’ve been amazing.

Wednesday was my last day of school before Easter break. (We don’t get a full, week-long break like many other schools do!) I actually stayed late at work to grade some projects. I got home around 5:00PM, ate dinner immediately, and then fell asleep on the couch; I was so tired.

Yesterday, I started my first day off with a workout. I took a BodyPump/BodyStep combo class at the gym, then ran a mile (+ cool down) on the treadmill and did some ab work.

Most of you know that Chris and I are addicted to Dunkin’ Donuts, so I stopped on the way home to pick us up some breakfast.

I went with the brown sugar oatmeal and topped it with the provided dried fruit. I also added peanut butter and honey. My coffee was a medium toasted almond… yum!

The rest of my day was spent grading book reports and taking care of some much-needed cleaning. I finished everything around 6:30PM, and finally had some dinner.

For those of you who requested a follow-up on the Slow Cooker Honey BBQ Drumsticks, they were great!

I had every intention of blogging last night, and then… I fell asleep. That seems to be a recurring theme here!

As for today… I went to the gym around 7:00AM, came home and my life snowballed out of control. Okay, that’s me being a bit dramatic, but I definitely got thrown a curveball that sort of messed with my plans for the day. (Luckily, everything seems to be under control now!)

I did manage to make it to my hair appointment, and I actually got a different cut. I posted a picture on Instagram, and I just recorded a vlog (which I plan to post tomorrow), so you can check it out then!

Chris and I are headed out to dinner in a little bit; we’ve got reservations at Seasons 52! :-)

Have a great night! I promise I won’t disappear for the next 4 days.

Do you have any time off for Easter weekend? What are your plans for the holiday?

Ugh, yes, me too! Sadly it threw a wrench in my Easter dress shopping plans… guess I’ll just have to squeeze that in today!

Everyone needs a break once in a while! Don’t feel bad at all! I hope you have a good Easter break, even if it isn’t a full week :) I love your haircut by the way, it looks great!

I’m glad you’ve got everything under control. I know all too well how stressful those curveballs can be.
I can’t wait to see your new haircut!
