I hope you all had a nice weekend!
After blogging on Friday evening (great recipe alert!), I curled up with an easy dinner on the couch. I stopped by the grocery store on my way home from work and made a salad at the salad bar. I ate a few slices of Kashi margherita pizza with the salad.
Stewie and I ended up falling asleep on the couch until almost 3:00AM!
I woke up around 8:00AM on Saturday, and had plans to head out for a run first thing in the morning. I was surprised to see that it was drizzling, so I switched my schedule around a bit and finished up some first quarter grade entering.
I made it out for a run around lunch time, then spent a good chunk of my afternoon cleaning.
Chris and I ordered a pizza for dinner (yes, pizza two nights in a row!) and ended up passing out around 8:30PM! We both work long hours during the week so we’re absolutely exhausted on the weekends.
Today I followed my “normal” Sunday agenda. Church –> grocery shopping –> laundry –> grad work –> school work/lesson planning.
After Chris and I finished up with Target and the grocery store, we treated ourselves to some Starbucks. It was actually pretty “warm” out today, so I went with a peppermint mocha frappuccino with no whipped cream.
For dinner tonight, I finally got around to making this recipe for crockpot buffalo chicken chili from Hungry Girl.
This recipe was a hit! It was very flavorful and filling… Chris-approved, too. I’m already looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
For dessert, I had a few brownie bites. Chris picked them up at the store last night… brownies topped with cream cheese frosting (too good to resist and very dangerous!).
I still have some work that I could do, but I’m thinking I’ll give myself the rest of the night off to just relax. Gotta get ready to tackle a new week!
