A Welcome Weekend

I guess there really isn’t a single weekend that is unwelcomed, now is there?

I don’t have too much to say this evening; just wanted to check in before kicking off a relaxing night in front of the TV, complete with an early bedtime!

Yesterday, I had to take Stewie back to the vet. We got a call earlier in the week that a few things in his blood work were a little “off,” so the vet wanted to re-test him (for free, thankfully!).

His 6:00PM appointment interfered with my 6:30PM BodyPump class, but I suppose the little bugger is worth it.

I’ve seen a lot of this room over the last week!

Luckily, everything came back clear this time around, & Stewie is happy that he won’t have to go back to the vet until his yearly check-up in the summer!

Since I missed BodyPump, I came home & completed a few random exercises available “on demand.”

Note to self: put Easter decor away this weekend!

The rest of my Thursday evening was spent lounging on the couch with Stewie, who was exhausted from his pug excursion to the vet!

Today was an ordinary day (another boat shoes Friday!). Now that the school year is slowly starting to draw to a close, every day feels like a long day but Fridays with a high of 76* feel extra long!

I’ve actually had several students ask me this week “are you in a good mood today?” when coming into my classroom (lol!), which leads me to believe I’ve been a bit on the irritable side. Who me?! Either way, this week is in the books & we’re officially 7 weeks out from the summer!

I haven’t mentioned this on the blog yet, but Chris recently started a new job & was placed on second shift. That means that we’re on opposite schedules during the week & don’t see much of each other Monday through Friday.

Since my dad also happens to work second shift, I went up to my parent’s house to have dinner with my mom this evening. I picked up sushi – California roll, Philadelphia roll, & shrimp tempura roll:

There’s so much because I got extra to have leftovers for Chris!

My mom also had some fresh-baked cookies for us to enjoy as a dessert, & I helped myself to two of those.

Another perk of visiting with my mom? Getting to visit the puppy:

He’s getting big & is so full of energy, but he’s such a sweetie too!

I can’t say much else has been happening around these parts! Luckily, I don’t have too much work to do this weekend. I actually forgot some things I had to grade at school, which is really a blessing in disguise! Tomorrow night, Chris & I will be celebrating his oldest brother’s birthday with his family, & Sunday will likely consist of grocery shopping & preparing for a new week.

But let’s not think about that right now… :-)

Tell me something you’re doing this weekend!

Glad to hear that Stewie is alright! The other day I had my own little scare because Popcorn just stopped eating/going to the bathroom for a solid 24 hours! I immediately thought that it was because of something I did, but then all of a sudden he just randomly got his appetite back and was back to normal. It’s amazing how much we can care about our fur babies, eh? Even enough to miss Bodypump 😉

Glad that Stewie is on the mend– hopefully you won’t have any more scares. That can be really tough when the little ones aren’t feeling well….
That is a bummer that you and Chris don’t get to see each other as much as you would like between M-F, that would be a bummer. I’m sure it makes the weekends that much sweeter though!
