I hope you all are enjoying what’s left of the holiday weekend. Luckily, I have tomorrow off too, so I’m pretty excited to stay up and watch Kourtney & Kim Take New York have an extra day to relax.
Time for a little weekend re-cap…
Saturday, I was up & at the gym early for BodyPump. The instructor switched things up during the ab track & had us do crunches on little rubber balls (similar to a Bender Ball).
Today, my abs hurt. I was complaining to Chris about the pain this morning & told him I better have a magical six-pack when I look at my stomach… no such luck. 😉
Anyway, after BodyPump, I decided to complete a quick elliptical workout. Usually, I only have time for about an hour at the gym, but I’m all caught up on school work (!!!) & knew I didn’t really have any major plans for the day, so I squeezed in an extra 20 minutes of cardio.
My workout looked like this:
After the gym, I came home & did a little decorating. It was time to put my fall decor away & get out what Christmas decorations I have. I still want to pick up a few more things, but I got a good start at least! (We still need our tree, too!)
Things started out like this…
But I eventually tamed the chaos…
Luckily, I had a helper…
Actually, Stewie just laid in the sun (one of his favorite spots) & slept.
I did some more “usual” Saturday things – laundry, cleaning, etc. & eventually Chris & I got some pizza for dinner.
Today, after church, my mom & I headed to Homegoods to look at their Christmas decorations. I ended up purchasing a wreath, some wrapping paper, & a few odds & ends for gifts, so I’d say it was a successful trip.
However, our trip to Homegoods was really just a decoy that allowed us to get frozen yogurt for lunch. (What is it with my mom & I making ice cream a meal?)
My cup was filled with:
- New York cheesecake yogurt
- Chocolate hazelnut yogurt
- Oreo yogurt
- Cookie dough
- Reese’s peanut butter cup pieces
- Reese’s pieces
- Rainbow sprinkles
- A drizzle of peanut butter sauce
A healthy, balanced lunch indeed. 😉
Eventually I made it home, only to leave again & head out to Target & the grocery store for my weekly “stock-up.”
Chris is up at his parents’ house this evening (watching the Eagles game), so I made a pit-stop on my way home from the store for a Wawa hoagie.
My hoagie included:
- Provolone cheese
And I served it alongside of some Baked Lays. Nothing special, but it did the trick.
Now, I’m working on a few Christmas gifts (deciding what I want to order for Cyber Monday) & stuffing my face with these:
I’m also wondering why I thought it was a good idea to buy these Reese’s bells at Target today… hmmm.
I’m actually looking forward to Monday. 1) I don’t have to go to work, but 2) I really need to get back on track after an indulgent weekend of woofing down everything in sight eating.
Do you have to work tomorrow? Do you plan on doing any online shopping tomorrow? (Any sales I should know about?!)
