Sometimes you just have to!

Sometimes, you just have to do it.

The “dreaded” (?) fast food for dinner, that is.

Generally, I try my best to avoid fast food. I can’t remember the last time I had McDonalds. I ate at Sonic the week of my wedding & felt sick for the rest of the night. Usually, I’m better off avoiding fast food.

However, sometimes, it’s just plain easy.

Last Wednesday, I wasn’t feeling particularly ambitious after the gym, Chris was working with his band, & I was both tired & hungry – a bad combination. So… I caved, but I think I made a smart choice at least? ;-)

I decided to go with Chick-fil-A, because I knew they had some relatively healthy options. I had just hit the gym, so I didn’t want to “un-do” all of the hard work I just put in!

I went with the Chargrilled Chicken Garden Salad. I really wanted the Chick-n Strips salad, but thought better of it! ;-) I also asked them to hold the dressing & used my own low-fat (not fat-free!) ranch dressing back at home.

Not too shabby for a quick drive-thru meal!

Confess! How often do you eat fast food? Do you try to go with the healthy options, or go all-out with a burger & fries? Truthfully, I try to only eat at a fast food restaurant occasionally; maybe once a month?

    I splurge on fast food once every few months, and it is usually Chick-fil-A! I love their waffle fries. :)Does icecream count as fast food? If so, I probably go too often!

    Of all the fast food places to pick, Chick-Fil-A is the least harmless! I say you did very well :)

    Honestly, I rarely have fast food. I actually rarely eat out, so when I do I like to pick places that I can really enjoy. I’m a huge fan of creating something quick at home :)

    That salad looks very not “fast-food.” I am impressed! I probably eat a fast food meal maybe 3 times a year. It is relatively impossible to eat Paleo at a fast food restaurant. However, if Panera is considered fast food, I eat there probably once every 2 months.

      I couldn’t believe that! I wouldn’t consider Panera “fast food” in the way that McDonalds is fast food! I was pleasantly surprised it had some of the healthiest options as well!

      Chick-fil-A is seriously awesome! Even though their char-grilled options are delish, it’s hard to resist the “crispy” items because they are just sooo good!
